Bureh is a small fishing village, a few hours drive from Freetown, Sierra Leone.
The Bureh Beach Surf Club was founded by community members to help increase tourism by offering surf lessons and board rentals, as well as accommodation, food, and drinks.
All of the revenue that is generated is put back into the community 100%, in the form of wages, grants, local goods, and services. The surf club has currently employed 19 people.
