Rashidi completed a Civic Leadership Course at the Goldman School of Public Policy, University of California, and Berkeley as part of Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. Bureh is a small fishing village, a few hours drive from Freetown, Sierra Leone. The Bureh Beach Surf Club was founded by community members to help increase tourism by offering surf lessons and board rentals, as well as accommodation, food, and drinks.
