Overthrust is an old school death metal band originating in Ghanzi, Botswana. Current lineup includes:

“We came up with a list of names and Overthrust was chosen, we choose it because we wanted to produce an abnormal, crazy, very raw, dirty and heavy music.
We recorded our single album-Freedom in the dark in April 2011, and our debut album (Desecrated Deeds To Decease) was released in May 2015 with 9 tracks. This album talks about dirty deeds and death, in this album we criticize people who claim to be people of god but involved in nasty and negative activities in life, we also criticize some religious people who criticize rock/metal people and their music, track like “Bogus Vicar” talks about fake pastors and their dirty deeds. For the first time we will be touring Europe to play the International Summer Festival at Kampnagel in Hamburg, Germany, August 2016.
We have no finance and we struggle to finance band activities from our pockets, the little we get from our monthly salaries we divide it to our families, our needs and the band…(sic) We are ready to conquer the world with our unique old school death metal music from Botswana. Overthrust is alive and waiting for your invitations to play in your countries. Give us a shout!!!”
