In his role as Organizational Director Queer Alliance Nigeria, Rashidi Williams manages projects on HIV, human rights, leadership, as well as media and arts promoting the human rights of sexual and gender minorities in Nigeria.
Rashidi completed a Civic Leadership Course at the Goldman School of Public Policy, University of California, and Berkeley as part of Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders. In addition, he possesses over seven years of experience working directly with communities affected by discriminatory and retrogressive laws across Nigeria.
Rashidi is also the curator of DEFINITION House, a social enterprise working to support the sexual health of marginalized youths in the Niger-Delta which he conceptualized as part of sustainability measures for Queer Alliance Nigeria.
